Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC): Grant Initiative for the Appalachian, Delta, and Northern Border Regions
Grants for projects in the Appalachian, Lower Mississippi Delta, and Northern Border regions that will provide career, training, and support services to eligible individuals in counties and parishes and/or areas currently underserved by other resources. Grants will support workforce development activities that prepare dislocated workers, new entrants to the workforce, and incumbent workers for good jobs in high-demand occupations aligned with a regional or community economic development strategy. High demand industries include manufacturing, IT, healthcare, and energy.

Foundation For the Mid South Grants
Grants for organizations in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi working in the areas of health disparities, physical health, mental health, education, financial security, and the growth and prosperity of communities.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota Caring Foundation Building Healthier Rural Community (BUILD) Grants Program Inactive
Funding to support health and well-being of rural North Dakotans and address the social determinants of health needs affecting communities.

Equity Community Organizing (ECO) Groups to Advance Health Equity in Aging in California Inactive
Funding to organize community groups designed to reduce health inequities for older adults in California. The focus is on communities of color and communities where race and ethnicity intersect with other factors such as age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, geography, language, and/or immigration status leading to inequities.

Family Self-Sufficiency Program Inactive
Funding for public housing agencies and housing choice voucher programs to hire family self-sufficiency coordinators that will work with low-income people to increase their earned income and financial literacy, reduce or eliminate the need for welfare assistance, and make progress toward economic independence and self-sufficiency. Applications from rural communities are encouraged.

Living Language Grant Program (LLGP) Inactive
Grants to provide native language instruction and immersion programs for Native students not enrolled at Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) schools, including those tribes and organizations in states without Bureau funded schools. The program uses an "all community" model that addresses agriculture, economic development, and healthcare, among others.

Michigan Impact Grant Program Inactive
Grants for projects that work to lift people in Michigan out of poverty and address the disparities that affect the ability to afford necessities such as housing, child care, food, healthcare, and transportation. The program is focused on geographically disadvantaged areas of the state.

Emergency Grants to Address Mental and Substance Use Disorders During COVID-19 Inactive
Grants to provide crisis intervention services, mental and substance use disorder treatment, and other related recovery supports for children and adults impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
