Rural Emergency Communications Operational Rapid Assistance Package
Technical assistance for rural communities to help examine barriers and identify solutions to enhance existing emergency communications infrastructure to improve the delivery of rural emergency medical services.

Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) Inactive
Grants for fire departments, EMS organizations, and fire academies for equipment, training, personnel wellness programs, capital funding, and collaboration/regional communication efforts.

Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities Grants Inactive
Grants for pre-disaster mitigation activities to build capacity of state and local governments, tribes, and territories to help them to identify mitigation actions and implement projects that reduce risks posed by natural hazards. Priority is given for projects that benefit disadvantaged communities, including rural areas. Funding is specifically set aside for resilient infrastructure projects for tribal communities.

Homeland Security National Training Program (HSNTP) – Continuing Training Grants (CTG) Inactive
Grants to support emergency preparedness training solutions to help rural and tribal areas prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters, threats, hazards, and other emergencies.

Rural Emergency Medical Communications Demonstration Project Inactive
Provides funding for demonstration projects addressing rural medical communications in order to gain an understanding of barriers and best practices to coordinate emergency response across multiple jurisdictions.

Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Grant Program Inactive
Grants to develop sustainable, multidisciplinary targeted violence and terrorism prevention capabilities in local communities, to pilot innovative prevention approaches, and to identify prevention best practices that can be replicated in communities across the country. Projects should bring together mental health providers, educators, faith leaders, public health officials, social services, nonprofits, and other stakeholders. Rural communities and other underserved populations are considered a program priority.
